Cashier

Reports to: Store Manager or supervisor on duty

At Guy’s Frenchys we believe that our cashiers play a very important role within our company. Our cashiers interact with customers continuously and process payments using cash, debit, credit and gift cards. They also help maintain a safe, organized shopping experience for our valued customers, and have the desire to promote a level of excellence and pride in customer service.

Job duties

• Remaining aware of customer needs, monitoring and ensuring fast, efficient and friendly service continuously
• Cleaning related duties
• Processing payments in cash, debit, credit or gift cards
• Excellent product knowledge and accuracy in price list comprehension
• Proactive participation in our ongoing fundraising efforts
• Team members may be required to perform other job-related functions as requested by your management team

Requirements

• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Must have a flexible schedule and able to work evenings and weekends
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
• Ability to work well under pressure at peek business hours
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency in multi tasking
• Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Consistently reliable, responsible, and dependable while fulfilling obligations
• Professional appearance and manners
